A Realm of the Dragon Shifters Short Story
As a dragon shifter and king of his people, King Najarni wants to make his lovely wife happy. Her human ways are a mystery to him. Her Earthly customs and holidays are something he knows little about. When his trusted guards return from the human realm, having mastered the art of Christmas, he knows his queen will be overjoyed.
At least, that was the plan.

King Najarni, king of the blue dragons, would do anything to make his human wife, Tara, happy. Tara lived in the dragon realm, no electricity, MP3 players, Internet, things that were common on Earth. Tara was sad that Christmas was unknown in this realm, and talked of it. Najarni sent his warriors to Earth to learn all they could about this holiday and to bring back things to celebrate the holiday to make his wife happy. But somehow, when the Warriors started singing carols with sexual tendencies, Tara could not help laughing, as the men grabbed themselves in lewd, suggestive ways that had her face turning red! Love will make men go to any lengths to make their wives happy! Backstory is that dragon king kidnapped human female at first sight to be his queen. Queen locks herself in room because King brought over goose to be killed for Christmas dinner. King can't understand that Roger is a name, not a designation, mostly because it's conveniently cute for the story. Some of the King's dragons sing Christmas carols, which is more like an all male stripper lineup, another convenient mix up. King gifts naughty lingerie to Queen because he doesn't know any better. The end.
OH MY GOSH, as The character Tara puts it so well and along with her I laughed so hard my eyes watered. The king Najarni, a king of dragons has tried to give his human wife Tara a wonderful Christmas which he and his people know nothing about sent some of his trusted guards to her relm to figure it out well they pull off one of the most hilarious events to ever happen. From the beautiful Christmas trees to singing carols of naughty bits and gifts that should be for the bedroom and all the way to " The Roger " this story kept me laughing the intire time.. I gave this story a 3 star rating only because it was very short would loved for there to have been more otherwise it really is a 5 star !!!
This is an hysterically funny short story. Most of the story is getting you up to speed on our main characters. It is told from the point of view of the hero, the king of the dragon shifters, who lives somewhere other than Earth. His wife is a human he kidnapped over 3 years ago and they are very much in love. He married her and made her his queen. Because she misses Earth so much, he has sent some of his people to learn Christmas customs.
OK, here is where it gets funny, he people found out about christmas from the wrong people. When they sing carols to the queen, get ready for the feast, giver her her present, it is all off.

FANTASTIC! HILARIOUS! But unfortunately TO SHORT!!! I absolutely can not wait to see the first book in The Dragon Shifters to hit the shelves. I checked the blog for Mandy Roth and it lists books that are upcoming and that she has in the works, I was DEVASTATED to not find this series listed. If the author includes this humor with her famous bedroom scenes and the great plot backstory she outlined in this short story, the book would fly off the shelves (or internet). So here is my plea;

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, HURRY AND WRITE THE NEXT BOOK IN THE DRAGON SHIFTERS SERIES AS SOON AS YOU HUMANLY CAN!
Oh my god! I loved the story. It was heartwarming and funny at the same time. I busted my gut laughing. I love Najarni and his warriors' scene with Roger at the end there. The story is pretty short which just makes me want more. To author Is there a full length story of Najarni and Tara?
He is a King and a Dragon shifter, but he is totally hilarious!
I so enjoyed the dedication to his human wife and how he wanted to make her Christmas with the shifters special.
I'd have loved to see these brave warriors running around, dancing and singing carols-learned at a strip club - with the jingle bells attached to their clothing at their groin areas, singing Jingle balls.
A fire starting on a too dried tree and the goose running around goosing the king and hissing at whomever he wants to.
And the goose, know this, under the declaration of the king-The Roger- must be kept safe at all times!
Pretty good gig, since The Roger was originally supposed to be part of the feast.
Mandy's done it again. A laugh out extremely loud story that'll warm fuzzy your heart. That proves how love can bring you to do wonderful things just to see the most important person in your life smile.

If you only have a few minutes to read and want something that can't help but put you into a good mood then, "King, King, Goose A Realm of the Dragonshifters" short, short-story is exactly the story for you. Its, funny, creative, sexy, yet, lovable and though it my be a little off-color just about anyone could read it. Its not for children, don't get me wrong. But, it could hardly be considered offensive to any but the strictest of adult audiences and, even those would most likely laugh in private.
I can never get my husband to read the paranormal stories that I love to read but, once I managed to get him to read a paragraph, he was hooked. We both laughed so hard we cried and he asked if all of Mandy Roth's books were as funny as this short read.
All of Mandy Roth's stories may not be this funny but, I've yet to read one that isn't a very good story. I know I've read way over a dozen of Ms Roth's books and I considered them all to be rated in the range of four to five stars. If you are interested in reading in the paranormal genre then, in my opinion, you can't go wrong in choosing to read Mandy Roth's books. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
